  1. Sorry, I'm doing some work on the server at the moment. There might be more temporary errors over the next hour or two.
  2. That'll be why then, its 50 offers across the market. Although it should be taking tier into account, I'll get that fixed in this weeks update.
  3. Were there other offers on the market?
  4. A bug was identified today with the new NPC systems, that was causing some NPC's to generate negative productivity in error. This bug affected around 300 individual work shifts, and appears to have been triggered in part by the host company running out of power. This bug was fixed as quickly as possible, and all affected companies have had their bugged production queues reset. As the bug appeared to be in part triggered by the company running out of power, it is not believed any company 'lost' power as a result of this bug. Due to the nature of the bug, any building/manufacturing company affected will find they now have more RM than previously. While it would be technically possible to calculate the bugs effects on company RM, it was decided not to do this, and instead consider this partial 'compensation' for this bug. In addition to fixing the underlying bugs and adding protections to prevent similar issues in the future, bugged NPC's will attempt to make up for their errors. When an affected NPC next works for the company they affected, they will be paid $0 (regardless of minimum wage), and will have double the normal productivity. These conditions will be applied once per bugged work shift, and only where the bugged NPC is working for the same company they originally affected. My apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this error. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to drop a reply or reach out privately to discuss further.
  5. No, this was a bug (now fixed) with the NPC workers. All negative production queues have been reset, although you'll still see negatives under "Last Prod" for affected NPC's until they next work (bug was fixed in the last few minutes, so any work shift before now may've been affected). On the plus side, a side-effect of this particular bug is for manufacturing/building companies, the NPCs will have been "producing" free RM.
  6. Updates NPC's will now attempt to work once per day. If an NPC doesn't have a job, they will take the vacancy with the highest pay in their current region. NPC's will not currently take jobs with State Companies. A manager alert WILL be created when an NPC accepts a job (please let me know if this becomes too 'spammy'). When an NPC moves for any reason, they will automatically resign from their current job (as they cannot currently use vehicles to work interstate). A manager alert will NOT be generated when an NPC quits their job. NPC's will only attempt to work once every 24 hour period. If they are unable to complete their shift due to any reason (insufficient funds to pay salary, insufficient RM, etc), they will not attempt to work again until the following day. NPC workers do not generate Worker Bonus payments for nations. NPC's will no longer be able to purchase goods without sufficient currency. Unhappy NPC's will attempt to consume a beverage each day. Like food consumption, NPC's will only purchase a beverage if there are more than 50 on the market, from the cheapest offer. NPC's will now use the Gym once per day, training a random physical skill. Bug Fixes Financial transactions involving NPC's will now be better identified in currency records. Does not apply to transactions that occured prior to this update. Known Issues 520 errors are still occurring. We are well aware of how annoying these are, and are continuing to investigate this ongoing issue. We will be upgrading server hardware later this month to hopefully address this. During initial implementation of the new NPC AI features, some NPC's may have performed their daily routine multiple times today. View full release
  7. The NPC's are a little bit smarter than that
  8. If it's any help, it's not a permanent situation. I'm finalizing the next update that will complete the NPC integration with the economy.
  9. Not really sure what you expect me to write? The changelog includes that NPC's are buying food, and you're telling me they're.... buying food. I really don't see how I'm meant to respond to that?
  10. Updates In-Game avatars are now synced from the main website. Users wishing to change their avatar will now do so via the website, and the game will update your characters avatar the next time you login. If you have not yet linked your account to the new website, remember you simply need to login using your in-game username/password to do so. NPC's are now able to buy and consume food. NPC's will try and take the lowest Tier food they require, and will always buy the cheapest food from the market. NPC's will only buy food if there are more than 50 units of food on the market to avoid impacting players. NPCs that are unable to consume food will lose health, and may decide to move to another region/nation. NPC's are now able to move if they cannot meet their needs in their current region. NPC's will prefer to move via Rail Stations (to any other Rail Station), before trying to cross land borders or sail to a random coastal border. Bug Fixes Fixed a date comparison bug that was preventing most users from using their houses. Fixed bad database settings preventing most skills from exceeding 999.99 Removed outdated references to 'free global article' in daily login reward dialogue. Fixed a UI bug causing some pages to render their first content module in the header row. Benefits from Electronics items are now included in the display of benefits from housing in the header widget. Known Issues 520 errors are still occurring. We are well aware of how annoying these are, and are continuing to investigate this ongoing issue. View full release
  11. There appears to be an issue with our SSL certificate breaking https. Should be fixed sometime this weekend.
  12. Updates Fishing has been converted to the AP system. Citizens may fish at any time as long as they have at least 5 AP. Infrastructure has been converted to the AP system. Citizens require 25 AP to work on a new infrastructure project, or 15 AP to repair existing infrastructure. Bug Fixes Fixed issues with DayChange not updating correctly. Rest/Relax button is no longer shown on the Housing widget when it cannot be used. Fixed a bug that could render housing unusable during the first half of any month. Fixed housing buttons in the header not working on any module in a subfolder. View full release
  13. To clarify this a little - no progress is lost for those already at Level 50. XP is checked when you take actions, so although you're currently at Level 50, you may have the XP for Level 60. Each time you take an action, the game sees you have enough XP to level up, and you level up. After enough actions, you'll have gained the levels you already have the XP for, and then will progress as normal.
  14. Updates Added a My Housing widget to the dashboard, that will allow players to easily access their current house or rest/relax. Added a new Hospital widget to the dashboard, allowing access to the Hospital page. Over time most infrastructure will be given their own widget, including relevant quick actions and repair buttons. As infrastructure get their own widgets (like hospitals in this update), they will no longer appear in the generic "Region Infrastructure" widget. Company managers can now set a cap on the number of times a worker can work for them each day (under Edit Company). This applies per citizen per company - so setting it to 4, would allow any citizen to spend their entire 100AP working 4 times in one day. This setting defaults to 2 for all companies. Although it is possible to set this to 0, the setting is only checked when a citizen has already worked at least once (so a setting of 0 is treated as 1). Removed the Presidential Address feature, as it was largeley unused. Removed the Quick Actions module, as these actions are now dynamically displayed on the dashboard. Updated resources market to highlight the resources your company uses in green. Updated the player levelling system to use an algorithm instead of preset XP amounts, effectively removing the cap on citizen levels. Players who were already at level 50 should start to level up as they perform actions, depending on how much XP they've earned since reaching 50. Added a new AP Recharge Timer bar to the user widget. This bar will provide a visual cue to when you should receive your next AP. Added an upgraded CEO Module to replace the old Company Manager. This is currently still a work in progress, and some features still require the old company manager. Staff roster in the CEO Module now shows a workers salary as the amount they were paid for their most recent shift. Bug Fixes Fixed the bug causing seemingly random 500 / 520 server errors across the game. Fixed a bug causing UI modules to break onto a new line unnecessarily. Fixed a bug preventing users from reading the tooltips on the resources marketplace. Fixed players not being able to run for congress from regions with less than 5 population (congress seats have been based on national population, not regional, for some time already). Fixed a critical bug causing congress elections to not be finalized since June 2020. All nations should now have the correct congress as voted on October 15th. Fixed the Sports Arena not showing who started a heat to players currently registered for the heat. Fixed a bug causing all workers to be listed as having never worked in the CEO Module/Company Manager. Known Issues The Rest/Relax button on the new housing widget is displayed regardless of whether it can be used. This is not intended, and should be fixed in the next update. Infrastructure daily integrity decay has been temporarily paused, while we review the function of each available infrastructure. View full release
  15. Updates Presidential Election results are now automatically processed shortly after polls close. There may initially still be delays of up to 24 hours as we monitor the new system for any bugs, but this should quickly be reduced to 1-2 hours max. (Before this update, election results had to be manually triggered by a dev/admin). Military Module has now been fully converted to the Action Points (AP) system. Initially, every military action will cost 1 AP per attack. Yes, this means everyone has the option of spending a full 100 AP on attacks if they choose - though this will prevent them from working or training. Quick Action buttons linked to actions that cost AP are now dynamically displayed. If you do not have sufficient AP to perform the action, the button will disapear until your AP has recovered. This will dynamically update even if you do not reload the page. Currency exchange rates are now determined by the amount of currency in circulation and the amount of VBX held in the treasury. Greatly increased the inflation cap, allowing for more realistic market effects. Added a new Instant Sale feature to the currency exchange. This feature is available for currencies valued at or below 0.001 VBX (the cost of printing currency). Currency is sold at the current exchange rate, and is always sold for VBX. Company manager now indicates the number of available purchase orders and stock on the relevant tabs. When buying resources for a company, if the company cannot afford to buy all the resources you order, it will still purchase the resources it can afford. Previously this would result in an error message, forcing the player to re-attempt the purchase. Began work on new AI NPC system. In the near future, these AI citizens will encourage activity by taking part in traditional daily tasks and consuming a small amount of products from the market. This is the first step in a transformational upgrade that will change the way the game is played. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue preventing Military industry items from being trashed. Fixed broken page displayed after filling a purchase order from the company manager. Known Issues There is a configuration issue with the new server that is causing intermittent 500/520 Server Errors (primarily while browsing the game). We are well aware of this issue, and are investigating to determine the source of the problem. If you encounter these errors, a simple refresh of your browser should successfully load the page you're trying to access. View full release
  16. Updates Military Training has now been added to the Action Point system. Military training now requires 20 AP. More Dark Mode theme improvements by @Zoltan. Added a new Purchase Orders tab to the Company Manager. This tab shows purchase orders for products your active company sells. Bug Fixes Fixed UI issues with the Citizen Stats widget (top-right of each game page). You may need to clear your browser cache to see the changes. If you've cleared your cache and are still seeing broken bars, scrollbar, or other UI issues, please provide a screenshot and let us know the browser you use, and your screen resolution. Fixed inconsistent database collation, which could cause error messages in some obscure circumstances. Fixed tabs not working on citizen profiles and party page. Fixed incorrect error message shown when visiting the Gym with insufficient AP to workout. Fixed Nation -> Diplomacy always showing treaties held by your citizens nation, even when viewing foreign nations. View full release
  17. No need for another ticket Most likely the same bug is affecting both places, so both should get fixed at the same time. You should be able to click into the ticket and add a new reply (though I've only used this system from the "admin" side so I'm not 100% sure). And it's meant to send me an email for every new ticket but doesn't seem to be, I'll need to fix that too lol
  18. There seems to be an issue with these progressbars and Firefox at the moment. Not really sure why when they work perfectly in Chrome (sizing issues should even be fixed now). We're still working on it though. Edit: Looks like we found the problem, it should now be working in all browsers/screen resolution. Might need to clear browser cache if you're still seeing issues
  19. Updates Pushed latest version of the new Dark Mode UI (thanks to @z78sabjan) Uprisings are now clearly indicated as such in the War Room. Old inactive accounts are no longer included in citizen searches. The dashboard/homepage now shows infrastructure projects under construction in your current region. Added a new dynamic battlefield widget to the dashboard/homepage, when you're in a region that is currently involved in a battle. Bug Fixes Fixed parts of the housing page being accessible when you don't have a house in your current region. Removed duplicated search box on search results page. Fixed broken avatars on Election Booth. Fixed several UI issues in War Room. Fixed several minor UI issues across the site. View full release
  20. Updates The alert for upcoming congress election will now indicate the number of days before the election, and will display if you have successfully nominated yourself for congress. Alerts will now popup in the bottom right of the screen, rather than bottom left, as this is a more 'natural' placement for notification alerts. Added a 'Quick Actions' widget to the header to make common daily tasks easier to access again. More UI updates/improvements. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug causing the Run For Congress button to always show, even after being clicked. Fixed javascript issues introduced with the recent UI changes. Fixed missing Rest/Relax button on Housing page blocking access to this feature. Fixed users seeing their own login alert. View full release
  22. Updates Improved display of national currency / VBX values in the sidebar. Switched back to manual advertisement placement for the game UI, due to reported issues with Google AutoAds breaking the UI. Gym Workouts have now been added to the AP system. Each time you workout in the Gym will cost 15 AP. When attempting to fill a purchase order for a nation, if the nation does not have enough money (or the Industry budget is empty), the order will now be cancelled and the leader of the nation notified. Health/Happiness/AP bars should now update much faster when performing actions that do not fully reload the page. Removed the sidebar to make better use of screen space. UI updates are still a work in progress. Achievement and Login alerts are now displayed for all players, as the 'friends' system is being retired. Bug Fixes Removed bad code that could cause abandoned accounts (inactive for >90 days) to have their currency and companies deleted. Fixed a bug with sorting damaged infrastructures for repair, and added a Repair button to the top of the page for easier navigation. Fixed bad colour for some events making the text unreadable. Fixed military progress showing incorrectly for citizens that have reached God of War rank.
  23. Just checked the Inactives script and looks like you're right. IDK what the hell I was thinking when I made that change, but it's been fixed now. If people returning to the game after a long absense (90+ days) find they're missing VBX/companies, they should send in a ticket with details they've got. I can't guarantee at this point how much I'll be able to restore (companies are unlikely, but can hopefully at least restore the cost of the companies). Tickets should be sent via the Support link: https://www.vnations.net/support/ It does look a lot better in the WIP dark theme, but yes it needs to be changed at least till that's ready.
  24. These were companies that were already deleted, probably long ago, that left behind some data.
  25. Updates Infrastructure will now decay by 1% each day (updating around midday gametime). This had been intended since infrastructure was added to the game, but was apparently never implemented. This decay rate will likely be updated to be more dynamic in the future. It is now possible to end a war as the defending nation, where the attacking nation no longer controls any regions. Military Commendations are now visible on citizen profiles. The dashboard now also shows the breakdown of commendations across each class, rather than just the total number of commendations earned. Working is the first action to be transitioned to the Action Point (AP) system. Each work shift will currently consume 25 AP, allowing citizens to work multiple times a day if they choose. Other actions currently consume AP, but are still limited to once per day. These will be transitioned fully to the AP system in future updates. Updated the skill multiplier for gym and military skill training to better suit the new 0-1000 skill range. Most players should notice significantly increased skill gains. Removed the Citizen Overview page, as this was displaying essentially the same information as your own citizen profile. Added a new Wallet page, showing the various currencies you currently possess. You can access your transaction log for each currency via this page. Retired the in-game private message feature, as the new community website provides a much better private message experience. API endpoints now provide data in JSON by default. XML feeds are still available by appending the feed with /xml (eg https://play.vnations.net/api/citizen/name/Darkmyre/xml). Documentation on the available endpoints will be added to the website in the near future. Removed the ability to change citizen name, email or password from the game UI. These account features should all be managed via the website from now on. This currently means citizen name changes do not have the previous VBX charge, however they can only be performed once every 30 days. This may change in the future. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug preventing wars from automatically ending where the aggressor can no longer afford the daily cost. Removed ghost stock from marketplace (appearing as 'National Stockpile' but unable to be purchased). These were not National Stockpile stocks, but bugged data from deleted companies that was being incorrectly displayed. Military Base supply feature now respects the updated inventory limits, allowing supply to soldiers with more than 50 items in their inventory. Fixed daily login rewards using outdated skill caps to determine reward possibilities. Players with skills above 250 should now again receive daily login reward bonuses. Fixed a number of issues preventing the API endpoints from being accessed.
