This stream auto-updates

  1. Last week
  2. I've just identified a configuration error that has caused several backend scripts to fail since the move to the new server. This has affected several things including elections, law proposals, sporting events, daily raffle and several maintenance scripts (primarily statistics updates). This has been fixed, and any backlogged tasks should clear over the next 24 hours. Regarding elections, there will be significant changes to the election module in game version 1.4, expected later this month. When this update is released, a fresh election cycle will commence for all elected roles. More details will be posted on how this will work in the coming week.
  3. Updates CEO's can now set a cap on the number of NPC's that can work for their company each day. Once this limit is reached, existing NPC employees will be unable to work, and other NPC's will no longer accept job offers. Maximum NPC shifts defaults to 10, and can be adjusted via the Edit Company button in the CEO Manager. Daily NPC shift quotas reset at DayChange (Midnight UTC). NPC's no longer consume job offer slots. A company must still have suitable job offers with available slots for an NPC to accept a job. NPC's now gain additional discontent if they are unable to work for any reason, increasing the chance they will quit their job and move regions. Bug Fixes Major code cleanup. Many minor bug fixes/code optimizations across the site. Fixed an issue causing error messages to not always render properly when trying to consume books. Cleared outdated avatar info from citizen accounts. Avatars are now handled exclusively through the forums - you must link your game/forum account, and then simply set your avatar here and it will sync to the game. Fixed an error preventing CEO's from seeing the performance stats of their NPC workers. Fixed a bug preventing CEO's from seeing more than the last 7 shifts of a worker, instead of all shifts in the last 7 days. Fixed a bug allowing NPCs to work with 0 health/happiness. NPCs will now only attempt to work if they have at least 50 happiness and 25 health. Fixed a bug breaking most of the Housing page. View full release

    NPC jobs bug

Not a bug. NPC workers don't consume vacancies anymore (the changes I mentioned a couple weeks ago to address the NPCs-took-our-jobs issue). Should have a changelog posted sometime this weekend, but now companies have a new Max NPC Shifts setting, that limits how many NPC's can work each day (under Edit Company).

    NPC jobs bug

I put 3 job vacancies and I got this

  10. Hello!

  11. 1st. A mistake in the house. The house works, but health and happiness are not restored. Os: Win7, browser: Crome 90.0.4430.93 , (64bit)
  12. After the NPC leaves work, the number of vacancies does not update automatically, manual update is required or offers must be canceled and re-posted.
  13. Power cannot be purchased. Comfort / entertainment balance cannot be changed. No access to inventory.
  14. Hello! I get through all elections without being able to participate in them. I cannot vote in the actual election as well. I just see the party page without candidates or vote possiblities.
  15. House doesn't work, once again. After using the "rest / relax" button the site directs to the house page. From there no button is working, health - happiness and AP shows zero (0). You have to use the back button of the browser to be able to click anything else. From this point, health/happiness was not given from house and the "rest / relax" button isn't shown anymore.
  16. Good point...although the game is now running on the new server, transfer went a lot smoother than expected. I'll move the forums over after getting some sleep.
  17. it will be good to have part of this message visible on the page when someone tries to log in or when he sees a blank page

    Login errors

Should be fixed now. Server restarted while I was sleeping, and a couple of services aren't properly auto-starting at the moment.

    Login errors

I have login errors now and then, try to collect some of them here. Usually they go away in one-two page refresh.
  20. Yeah now that I think about it I think the fullscreen overlay should do the trick. So basically you create a fullscreen div (same height and width as the underlaying page), make that transparent, then create another div for whatever width and height you need and that would be the content itself.
  21. Hmm, looks like that isn't enabled by default in Firefox, so probably not usable. I'll look into alternatives for the current dialog popups though. There's still IMO too much chaos with all the alerts, popups, notifications etc.
  22. It's because there is nothing to scroll down, so the browser removes the vertical scroll bar. The modal is part of the normal page flow, one trick could be to make the modal as tall as the page below it, but this is messy coz you'd have to create transparent parts if you don't wan't it to cover the whole page. What I was thinking of is the new html dialog element, what if we tried to use that? Maybe it would do the same, but maybe it wouldn't affect the page behind it. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/dialog
  23. I'm not doing anything to hide the scrollbar like that, so I presume that is normal browser behaviour?
  24. Missing avatar is still there, it's vRAD's if it helps!

  26. I knew I should have uploaded the normal popup overlay for showcase, my bad But actually no, it's the overlay itself, now I haven't read any books yet, check this out: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/cknd6da3bel0dqw/vTFmkaaZuE.mp4 Also, the new error message produces the same thing: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/qz8t5ze59zvam3q/QbCBEfn5Ef.mp4
