Advance Notice - War Module Updates 13 2

Due to the current conflicts across the globe, we are announcing the following War Module updates before they will be implemented. These changes will be implemented shortly after Daychange, at the beginning of Day 539. The changes will be implemented sometime between 0000 and 0030. Users who wish to be certain the changes have been implemented before fighting should hold their attacks until at least 0031.

Air Superiority - Bombing

At the conclusion of a battle, the side with Air Superiority will convert excess Jet damage to Bombing damage, reducing their opponents Ground damage.

Wounds for Jets and Tanks

Jet and Tank attacks will again attract wounds. The protection of the vehicle will provide equivalent protection to T5 armour. Personal body armour will not be consumed for Jet/Tank attacks.

Fuel Consumption

Jet and Tank attacks will consume 1 unit of fuel per 10 attacks.

Jet Damage

The jet damage formula will be reduced slightly.

Combat XP

All attacks, regardless of class/tier used, will reward the soldier with +50 CXP. This should allow all classes to increase in military rank evenly.

All attacks, Regardless of class / tier used, will reward the soldier with CXP +50. This should allow all classes to Increase in military rank evenly.

This implies that if I attack with Jet, instead of winning the current> 200 CXP / hit only 50 CXP'll increase ?? Thus never gonna make it to "Legendary Warrior" and penalizes the majority of players. Good for novices who would be put at a minimum 50 CXP, but were allowed to add more classes and more advanced ranges ...

guys i'm a jet you know that but i'm not partial trust me, but come one, jets MUST be OP compared to other classes...

...since they are the most expensive kind of weapons!

Agreed that these changes probably will make jets OP, as they will both give a penalty during battle and count as damage in the end. It seems that a slight change in the jet damage formula won't be enough to counter this advantage.

This +50CXP part sounds ugly. Or I do not get it. Each soldier will get for 1 day of fighting 50cxp only?
I also agree with Booms that jets become overpowered and this damage difference things in the end it is just like If jets were fighting normally? Assuming they have air superiority. If you make the opponent to fail the last sec retain air superiority then you will not eat any damage reduction, this is the promising(as positive) rule change. This should also be clearly indicated during the battle. This jet rule will make our war effort even harder I dare to predict, because enemy side that had more jet damage traditionally will give us air raid penalty during the battle and damage penalty after the battle. Messing arround things does not mean that adds tactical options, we will be in better position to judge it later the following week.

As for T5 armor. Now without armor you get 10% of your damage. With T1 you get 7.5%. with T2 you get 5% and with T3 you get 2.5%. So with T4 you should get 0% and with T5 -2.5%! That's what Maguilao means, obviously.

The tactic, "the changes to be announced before" can be very productive, even despite nagging, I am in favour of testing them, and a priori criticism will be verified or disproved in practice, showing why it failed/worked.

I also didn't understand how this "T5 armour-like protection" will work. Can you explain further? Examples with numbers will be helpful.

I think CXP should be different for each rank. Only +100 CXP per rank(cause of 2 extra attacks) is too few.

Just added a couple of other changes to the update. There are some others that'll be released at the same time, but they wont directly affect battles. All changes listed in tonights Nightly News will be implemented at 0010.

So jets will decrease infantry and tank damage for 20% and then in the end they will reduce that already reduced damage by bombing. And if i remember jets will cost less than before. That's freaking over power for jets IMO.

Booms Air raid will remain as it is now.

So there will be no Air Raid to reduce damage during battle?

These updates have been prepared, and should be pushed live at 0010.

Also, Day 540 will be the final day of free Tank and Jet attacks.

Thanks for the info! I think that armour are currently not working as intended, then. I have opened a ticket about it and, if needed, I can test it tomorrow.

Maguilao Each tier of armour reduces wounds by 2.5%, not 25

I didn't understand the T5 armour part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't T1 armour protecting 25% of the wounds (dropping from 10% to 7.5% of the damage dealt), T2 armour protecting 50% of the wounds (dropping from 10% to 5% of the damage dealt) and T3 armour protecting 75% of the wounds (dropping from 10% to 2.5% of the damage dealt)? That way a T5 armour would protect 125% of the wounds?

Nation A air superiority 850K (Nation A Air - Raid Target)
Nation B adjusted Ground 650K (Nation B Ground - Nation A Superiority)
Nation A wins after bombing conversion

"At the conclusion of a battle, the side with Air Superiority will convert excess Jet damage to Bombing damage, reducing their opponents Ground damage."
Can you give us an example with numbers?
